Fit this dichroic fairytale house shawl/pin 4, with its orange slanted roof and fuschia face into your wardrobe. It is made of all dichroic fused glass. In the kiln, the pieces all adhere to a compatible black glass foundation, which strengthens the piece. Baking for 24 hours in the kiln brings out the glossy brilliant color of the dichroic glass. It is all one piece with several layers. You can see the orange roof, atop a fuschia facade with a floor with an orange and gold picture window over a blue double door entrance. Inviting us in is a blue door with a gold green door handle. All these individual pieces, made from dichroic glass, change color with your movement or the difference in lighting. This, in turn, adds to the charming and electric presence of the house.
A felted fabric attaches a tie pin back. Wear the pin as an accent pin; as a closure for a shawl; on a scarf; be creative.
Fairytale house 4 is unique and handmade by me, in my glass studio, in Vermont. Memory can bring us back to our childhood and the books we read. It has whimsy and will spread cheer and delight to you and all who see her.
