Dichroic Fairytale House Shawl/Pin 5

Fit this  fairytale house pin, with its checkered blue, pink and black crooked  roof and orange gold  face into your wardrobe. It  is made of all dichroic fused glass. In the kiln, the pieces all adhere to a compatible black glass foundation, which  strengthens the piece.  Baking for 24 hours  in the kiln brings out the glossy brilliant color of the dichroic glass.  It is all one piece with several layers. You can see the checkered roof, atop a gold/orange  facade with a floor of  piercing green and pink windows. Inviting us in is a gold green door. A blue and pink picture window sits on the second floor. All these individual pieces, made from dichroic glass, change color with your movement or the difference in lighting. This, in turn,  adds to the charming and electric presence of the house.

A felted fabric  attaches  a tie pin back. Wear the pin as an accent pin;  as a closure for a shawl; on a scarf; be creative.

Fairytale house 5 is unique and handmade by me, in my glass studio, in Vermont. Memory  can bring us back to our childhood and the books we read.  It has whimsy and will spread cheer and delight to you and all who see her.
