An all dichroic glass organic shaped Shana pin for your wardrobe. Shana is a pin with a myriad of changing colors from to pink and green in the background encircling a blue/green triangle surrounding a gold center. Dichroic fused glass is the material that changes color as the light hits it or you move around. In the kiln, the dichroic glass pieces all adhere together to form an organic “Shana” petal/shell shape foundation for the pin , which continually changes. Baking for 24 hours in the kiln brings out the glossy brilliant color of the glass, however, the lighting actually brings it to “life.” This, in turn, adds to the charming and electric presence of the pin.
A small felted fabric attaches a tie pin back. Wear the pin as an accent pin; as a closure for a shawl; on a scarf; on a hat; be creative.
This is a unique, one of a kind, piece and is handmade by me, in my Vermont glass studio.
Commissions are accepted and I can make one to your specifications.
