A silver back gorilla was requested by the client in the African field animal panel. See him hiding behind a bush like a voyeur because he is not native to the area. All fused glass, including a mosaic sky, make up this 16 x 24 inch panel. Many layers and firings brought forth the panel. A lower temperature, in the last firing allows adherence of the parts, creating the 3 dimensionality of the animals.
Hills, mountains, watering hole and sky develop layer by layer. A vivid memory for me, as I was there, many years before and a happy client who sees them on his wall.
