This Day’s Outing with the Girls fused glass wall art has been fired twice for over 40 hours. The first firing allows the background to become very smooth and shiny. Secondly, a firing is done at a lesser temperature so that the figures adhere to the glass, but don’t sink in and become a part. By doing this, the figures with their accompanying embellishments stand out in three dimensions. The glass that both reflects and refracts the light, is dichroic glass and changes color and adds glimmer. Thus all the glass is adhered together and becomes one piece.
These are four ladies on an outing dressed up for a “day’s outing with the girls”. They see something and all have different reactions. It’s your guess what that might be.
