Seahorse in Orange and Gold is a fused glass panel of an underwater scene. It had been in the kiln for two firings of up to 1500 F. degrees. The seahorse is done separately at first, in a ceramic mold, to give it its three dimensional appearance. Subsequently it is placed onto the background with all of its embellishments to represent an underwater environment. The second firing allows the pieces to adhere to the background without melting into it.
Seahorse in Orange and Gold is complete with a handmade brushed gold aluminum frame for hanging.
