Beach View of Dolphins wall art is fused glass heated in the kiln for two firings. First, the large shell is made in a ceramic mold to give it a more three dimensional appearance. After the glass shell is returned to the kiln. The fused glass shell subsequently is placed onto the foreground representing a view from the beach from its perspective. Not only does the second firing, at a lower temperature, allow the pieces to adhere together but also prevents the pieces from blending together. Thus we have the 3D presentation of a beach scene.
The result is a 4 1/2 x 6 inch piece of wall art and is delivered with a handmade aluminum frame for hanging.
