This underwater scene in fused glass of a Blue and Multicolor Fish, has been in the kiln for two firings of up to 1500 F. degrees and over twenty hours each time. The fish are done separately at first, in a ceramic mold, to give them their three dimensional appearance. They are then placed onto the background with all of their embellishments to represent an underwater environment. The second firing allows the pieces to adhere to the background without melting into it.
