Brilliant Dichroic Fairytale House Shawl/Pin 1

You’ll love this  fairy tale house, with its peaked gold roof and iridescent blue face, is made of all dichroic fused glass. In the kiln, they adhere to a compatible black glass foundation, which  strengthens the piece.  Baking for 24 hours  in the kiln brings out the glossy brilliant color of the dichroic glass.  It is all one piece with several layers. You can see the gold roof, supporting an attic window, atop a cerulian front with two floors of green iridescent windows below. The inviting entrance has a special red handle. All these individual pieces, made from dichroic glass, change color with your movement or the difference in lighting. This, in turn,  adds to the charming and electric presence of the house.

A felted fabric  attaches  a tie pin back. Wear the pin as an accent pin;  as a closure for a shawl; on a scarf; be creative.

Fairytale house 1 is unique and handmade by me, in my glass studio, in Vermont. Memory  can bring us back to our childhood and the books we read.  It has whimsy and will spread cheer and delight to you and all who see her.
