Green Seahorse with Shell is a fused glass panel of an underwater scene. It had been in the kiln for two firings that were over twenty hours each time. The green seahorse and shell are done separately. First, in a ceramic mold, to give them their three dimensional appearance. They are then placed onto the background with all of their embellishments to represent an underwater environment. The second firing allows the pieces to adhere to the background without melting into it.
