This mosaic antique red car wall art has been in the kiln for two firings, each of which was over 30 hours, and up to 1500 degrees. The first firing allows the mosaic background to become very smooth and shiny. A second firing at a lesser temperature allows the pieces to adhere together but not sink to become a part. In this way the red car with dichroic glass highlights stands out in three dimensions. With the inclusion of the dichroic glass light reflects and refracts and adds glimmer to the changing color. All the glass is adhered together and become one piece.
The panel is framed in a hand made aluminum frame and is ready for hanging.
