Red Fish Starfish is underwater fused glass scene that had been in the kiln for two firings of up to 1500 F. degrees and over twenty hours each time. The fish are done separately, first, in a ceramic mold, to give them their three dimensional appearance. They are then placed onto the background with all of their embellishments to represent an underwater environment. The second firing allows the pieces to adhere to the background without melting into it.
The panel is 10 x 4 inches and is complete with a handmade aluminum frame for hanging.
