This fused glass panel of an underwater scene has been in the kiln for two firings of up to 1500 F. degrees and over twenty hours each time. The fish is done separately at first, in a ceramic mold, to give it a three dimensional appearance. It is then placed onto the background with all of the embellishments to represent an underwater environment. The second firing allows the pieces to adhere to the background without melting into it.
The panel is 5 x 8 inches and is complete with a handmade aluminum frame for hanging.
